Celebrating 4th of July in Tyler

This past weekend, Elijah went on his first road trip and he did great! We went to Tyler this past Saturady to celebrate the 4th of July at the Kamps house with family. We had a great time and Elijah got to meet some new relatives for the first time. He was so happy and excited to meet his greatgrandparents Gimps and Gloria, his great Aunt Paula and Uncle Reid, and second cousins Carson and Melissa who surprised us by coming in from Florida, and second cousins Tanner, Austin, and Connor. Also in attendance was Mamie and Pops, Callie, Marchjo and Jerry, Amber, Eric, Emory, Asher, and Abram (and us of course). It was great to see everyone, hang out by the pool, and have a good old fashioned cookout to celebrate our nation's Independence Day!

Above: Gloria playing with Elijah. He was loving the attention and was smiling and cooing for Gloria...she's a pro!

Above: Elijah is sporting his patriotic USA headband and his first tatoo in honor of our nation's birthday...and he looks so excited about it. :)

Above: Eli and Daddy at the Kamps. "I can't believe you are in on this too, Dad. Can you please help me get this headband off my head!"

Above: Elijah meets his Great Aunt Paula for the first time, aka, Lollie. "I'm going to hold on tight to my Lollie, I like her!"

Above: Back at home safe and sound. You can see someone had a nice long nap in the car ride back. I love the way he curls his arms up by his head. He deserves some good rest after such a big day! Way to go little buddy. :)
