Pure Silliness!

My silly boy, caught on tape! I love this little guy more than words can say.

In this first video, you will see that Elijah strongly takes after his Nana C in his love to see himself on screen. :) My parents recently gave us a web cam so that we (especially Eli) could talk to them over the computer and actually see each other. Elijah is extremely fond of the web cam! It did not take long for him to start associating Nana and Papa with the computer, and each time we passed by it he would call out for Nana and Papa. One day, Elijah wanted to talk to Nana and Papa but much to his disappointment they were not at home. So, in an effort to keep the little guy happy I called our own computer and we could see ourselves big on the screen. Oh.my.goodness! Elijah LOVED this! He will still call for Nana and Papa on the computer...but now that means he wants to seem himself on the screen. :) I will happily turn on the web cam and let Eli watch himself, as it will keep him happy and entertained for a good long while. This has been great for me to be able to get dinner ready and pick up around the house while Elijah plays happily in the other room. So, without further ado, here is Eli watching himself on the computer.

This second video is just my little guy having a good ol' belly aching laugh. Yes, I may be making puking sounds in the background...just ignore that. :) What good mom wouldn't make a few puking sounds to keep her kid laughing?

Trick or Treat!

While it was difficult to top the cuteness of last year's cow costume, I think Eli just may have accomplished the task as a fireman. We had a great Halloween!  Eli had the chance to trick or treat at Daddy's office, around the neighborhood, and go to the fall festival at our church. As always, here are the pics...

The Cutest Little Fireman Around! (no, we're not biased, he just is!)

Trick or Treating at Daddy's Office

Eli was not amused at the start and took a little while to warm up

"Mommy, what about this is supposed to be fun?"

Realizing that Daddy was there instantly made the whole experience better

"Ah, now I'm starting to get the idea...this is kind of fun."

Please don't tell Elijah that there is candy in those wrappers to be eaten.  At this point he still thinks the game is just grabbing them and putting them in the pumpkin. :)

Photobucket
"Let's just grab a few more of these and put them in my little pumpkin..."

Photobucket
Daddy:  "Whoa, that's enough kiddo.  Just take one."

Photobucket
"Man, I was raking in the candy until Daddy busted me."

Dad, I put this picture up just for you. :)  Needless to say it is not exactly the shot I was aiming for.

The petting zoo was our favorite activity.  Of course Elijah wanted to do the rock climbing wall and the big bounce house with the big kids, but we had to appease him with ducks, goats, pigs, and ponies until he gets a wee bit older.

Miss Kamps to Mrs. Kesel Weekend

Well, I'm sure that this will come as a great shock to everyone, but I am behind on my blogging yet again. I know that I can skip things if need be, but I just hate for cute pictures to go unposted. :) At the end of October, our sweet cousin Callie officially transitioned from Miss Kamps to Mrs. Kesel. We had the chance to go to Tyler to celebrate with Callie and her now husband Doug and were so excited for the two of them! It was a beautiful wedding and we loved every minute of it. My parents came in town for the weekend and kindly agreed to stay here and babysit their little grandson while we were in Tyler. Overall, it was a great weekend and we were so glad for the time we got to spend with both sides of the family. My uncle and aunt live here, so we went and spent Saturday morning visiting with them and my parents. We also happened to make a trip by the store and both me and Eli got spoiled a little bit by Nana and Papa! Here are some of the pictures from our long weekend...they are a little out of order, but see if you can follow along. :)

After picking up Nana and Papa at the airport, Elijah had his debut trip to IHOP.  You can see that he was into it!  Would you believe that all of that food was part of the kids meal?

Photobucket
A lot of these pics are from my Mom and Dad's Iphones (so they are a little blurry) but this is just one of Eli being silly at breakfast

Elijah didn't want to part with his new toys for a minute, not even to sit in the carseat for the way home.

Nothing like a little playtime while Mommy unloads the cart!

I got "pampered" by Nana and Papa too!  My and my new pots and pans and scarf
