Rugby Outfit

Here are a few pics of Eli in his cute little outfit from Nana C. I call it his Rugby outfit because he looks like a little Rugby player in his orange and white striped shirt with the number on it. Too cute...thanks Nana!

Fight for the Silver Boot

When the Houston Astros and the Texas Rangers come head to head each year in baseball, the winner of the series wins the highly prized and coveted Silver Boot. The Rangers and Astros played two series on back to back weekends recently and we are proud to announce that the Texas Rangers are the proud holders of the Silver Boot for now. However, much to our chagrin, we discovered that the Cislaghi's are not exactly united on their baseball loyalty. You can see that we discovered an undercover Astros fan under our very roof! :) Actually, we just got this adorable Astros outfit from my old college roomate Tracy and thought it was the perfect time to dress him in it. We love the little outfit and are glad that the Astros won one game in the series for Eli's sake. :)

Above: Daddy and Eli...a house divided, yet again! :)

Above: Daddy and Eli decide to reconcile all sporting differences and just enjoy some baseball together.

Above: Eli, so happy to hear that the Astros won on Friday night...

Above: But bummed to hear that they lost all the rest of the games in the series!

Above: Eli meeting his cousin Callie for the first time! Love this pic!

Above: Eli, back in Ranger's garb like he belongs. ;)

**Tracy, we just love this little outfit and thank you so much for giving it to Elijah! Doesn't seem like long ago when you came to visit and I was still pregnant with Eli, and now he is here and wearing his 3-6 month outfit! So cute!

Bathroom Tile

One of the reasons that I have been so behind on my blogging lately is that we got tile put in our bathrooms. I love the new floors and Ethan and I are really pleased with the way that everything turned out. Here are some pictures of the whole fun process.

Above: Ethan's remodeling idea...put the toilet in the shower, what could be better? :)

Above: Tile is laid in guest bathroom, making progress.

Above: Guest bathroom, finished product!

Above: Master bathroom complete. It is hard to get a picture that really gets the whole bathroom, but you can get an idea by this picture. The tile in both bathrooms is the same color, even though the lighting in the pictures make them look a little bit different. We love the new tile and are really happy with the change!

Mommy and Baby Lunch Out

Last week, Eli and I went out to lunch with some other Mommies and their babies. Kimber was in town from South Carolina, so we got together with friends from our old young marrieds small group. The attendees were Laura and her son Ian, Chione with her daughter McKamy, Kimber wither her son Micah, and me with Eli. I didn't pull out my camera until after Chione and McKamy left, but can vouch that they were certainly included in the party. :) We had a great lunch and all went surprisingly well...considering we had three infants and one 13 month old! I was so thankful for the visit with friends and know that Eli enjoyed meeting people his size!

Above: Eli is all dressed and ready for his big outing. I LOVE this little outfit that he got from his Uncle Daniel and his Aunt Jenny!

Above: Eli says "Rwwwwr!" He is making his best dino impression to go along with the dino on his shirt.
Above: This little "Munch-a-saurus" is such a cutie.

Above: Me and Eli posing with Kimber and Micah. Eli was not really into looking at the camera regardless of Laura's efforts who was acting as the photographer.

Above: Me and Eli posing with Laura and Ian. The windows in the background are pretty bright, but you get the idea of the picture still. I love the way Eli is staring at Ian.

Above: Mommy and Eli who is showing a little tummy .

Above: Me and Elijah at Italianis. I don't quite think he understands "smile" yet. :)

Above: After lunch I went over to hang out with Kimber and Micah for a little while. In this picture Elijah was about to get his diaper changed but was just captivated by staring at Micah!

Above: All tired out from the big visit...time to go home.

Above: Back at home and in his bed, about to get swaddled up...

Above: Where are this kid's pants? :)

Above: Eli was just telling me that he had such a great time meeting new friends! Now it is time for a nice long nap.

Scootin' Away

Elijah is really holding his head up well and just scootin' away when I put him on the floor. If I put my hand down by his feet, he pushes off like crazy and will scoot all the way across the floor if I let him! I imagine it will still be a while before he starts crawling (hopefully anyway) but the way time has flown by so far I know it will be here before I know it!

Above: Eli posing for a photo op.

Above: Action shot...he likes to grab for the edge of the blanket to pull himself along.

Cutie Pants

These pics were from a few weekends ago, but they are too cute not to post. He was having a little tummy time and then his Daddy was working with him on sitting in his bumbo chair.

Above: Eli is wearing one of his cute outfits that he got from Callie, Carson, and Melissa. I love the little Chick on his booty.

Above: The front of his outfit says "Made You Smile" and that is definitely true. He sparks so many smiles for Ethan and I and brings such joy to our lives!

Above: Tada...making such progress in holding up that big ol noggin!

The Importance of the Swaddle

The other day, Eli's nap time rolled around and I realized that I had thrown both of his swaddling blankets in the wash. I knew that I had another swaddle blanket that he had pretty much grown out of, but I put it on him just to see how much he had grown. Also, a part of me wondered if I swaddled him from the waist down if he might just fall asleep, even with his arms out. You can see the results of our little experiment below. :)

Above: Notice how the blanket only comes up to his arm pits! My oh my how he has grown! "Wait a second...why are my arms out?"

Above: Uh oh, doesn't look good...starting to get upset.

Above: Experiment failed. And this is why swaddling is so important! "Mom, don't just stand there and take pictures...do something!"

**You can see a picture of Eli in this same blanket on the May post "Eli's New Swaddler Blanket" and see how much he's grown!

Eli's New Chariot

Here is a picture of Eli's fancy shmancy new stroller. We have had it since before he was born, but Ethan put it together this past weekend. You can see he is not quite ready for it yet, but in the next few months Eli will be sporting these stylin' new wheels.

Above: Elijah is not quite sure about the BOB, but Ethan takes him for a quick walk around the house.

Bananas about My Nana

Nana C (aka, my mom) sent some super cute outfits in the mail the other day for Elijah. I love them, and Elijah is wearing the first of his new outfits in the pictures below. His outfit says "Ben's Banana Stand" on it, so to go along with the theme you see Elijah chose to do his best "monkey" impression for the pictures.

Above: One silly monkey!

Above: Elijah is bananas about his Nana. :)

Above: Elijah found a way to stare at the ceiling fan, even while sitting in his bumbo chair!

The Dance of Joy

Here are a few fun pictures from yesterday when I woke Elijah up from his morning nap. This is one silly boy...must take after his Daddy! :)

Above: Elijah busted his arms out of his swaddler blanket, as usual, and he is always so happy about it! When I walked in his room to get him up from his nap and peaked over the side of the crib, this is the look I got. He is just giggling away like this is the funniest thing in the world!

Above: The celebration begins! Once he sees me, he starts flapping his arms and squealing like crazy...hence the blurred arms.

Above: Once I unwrap him and free his legs, the fun continues. Now he gets his legs involved in the celebration...hence the blurred legs. :)

Above: And this one captures what I call "the dance of joy" (for all you Perfect Strangers fans out there). This picture also cracks me up because the way the light catches his hair it makes him look like he has a mohawk!

Above: Ahhh...perfectly content. Celebration is over and now it is time for something to eat. :)
