Library Storytime

On Mondays, our local library has storytime for little ones about Eli's age.  We have gone the last two times and it is so much fun!  There are a ton of Mommys and kiddos who come and certainly a good time is had by all..  The "storytime" lasts for about 30 minutes and includes songs, rhymes, little books to read together, and even bubbles.  At the end we play with the big colorful parachute, which the kids love, and then there is about 30 minutes for playtime.  Here are a few pictures from storytime today.  I was trying to discretely take pictures without being the crazy mom who wouldn't put away her camera... :)

Elijah checking out the setting, crawling on the huge parachute.

Playing with some new friends before storytime begins (aka, stealing their toys)

Notice all the other kids sitting with their moms actually looking at the books.  For some strange reason, my kiddo was the only one who felt the need to crawl across the room and explore.  Here, you can see he has a bottle of bubbles in his hand that he stole from someone across the circle. :)

Having a good ol time, regardless of the fact that NO ONE else is sitting on the parachute but you.  :)

Finally decided to come back and check out some books.

So bummed that this picture blurred!  In my (futile) efforts to be discrete, I turned off the flash.  He was smiling huge here (after returning from his exploration) and even though this is a blurry photo, you can still tell he is a happy little guy.

Parachute time!

Again a little blurry, but gives you a feel for playgroup time at the end.  For a extra fun activity, see if you can find Eli in this picture.

And finally, Eli checking out one of the strollers against the wall.  A whole room full of toys and people, and yet he is drawn to the one "non toy" around. :)
