Eli's First Prayer

My sweet little boy says his first prayer. :) Not a lot of words, but it is profound and sufficient.



Thank you, Jesus indeed. Thank you that you came to this earth as a humble baby, Immanuel, "God with us" as we celebrate this Christmas season. Thank you that you lived the perfect life that we never could, that you showed yourself to be God in miracles and wonders, that you had compassion on the people, that you loved and taught us how to love. Thank you for taking our place on that cross, for bearing our sin and shame and instead making us the righteousness of God, for offering eternal life to all who receive you as Lord and Savior. Thank you for rising from the dead, for being not a God who has died but a God who lives, who is sovereign, exalted on the throne, holy, righteous, the King of all! Oh, and yes of course, thank you for this food. :)
