Life is good. As the countdown to baby Karis continues (38 days to d-day), we are having fun around here and enjoying our waning time as a family of 3. Here's what we've been up to lately....
Eli gets lots of snuggles and kisses from Mommy. |
Our friends Ed and Ja'Nae came in town for a visit from Colorado. Eli loved them both right away, and here you can see "Fireman Eli and Fire Chief Ed" talking on their radios. |
The next day Eli kept asking where his friends went and when they were coming back. :) I'd say the Osgoods won him over! |
Eli and I have gone to play at a place called Paradise Pond a few times. It is a play area at a church nearby and tons of fun. Here is a collage of pictures from our first trip there. |
My little construction worker, hard at work at Paradise Pond. |
Opening and closing the display patio doors at Home Depot, endless fun... |
Playing outside on beautiful days (followed by cold days, then warm, then cold...you get the idea) |
Rocking out with Nana and already exhibiting his own sense of style. :) |
Eli and his Nana share some sweet smiles |
Waiting oh so patiently for his cookie at the coffee shop nearby. |
Out for a run with Daddy...I love these pictures. I was walking much more slowly behind them saying "red light" every so often so that Mommy (with stroller, Boomerang, and Karis) could catch up. He ran for about a mile! He must have his Daddy's love for running. |
Melts my heart :) |
My sweet friends from church threw me a baby shower for Karis. It was so sweet and we all had a great time! |
My beautiful shower hostesses! |
Loved all of the girly and pink presents...not to mention the diapers and other goodies!! |
The boys checking out all of the new baby presents |
"Hmmm...what are you supposed to do with this thing? Oh, climb in it of course! Baby Karis is going to love this!" |
My old college roommate, Susan, came for a visit all the way from New York! It was great catching up. |
Matching baby bumps! Susan and Phil are expecting their first baby soon, a little boy! |
Saying goodbye to my old faithful Trailblazer |
So long Trailblazer, hello awesome new Odessy! I need to find a pic of my new car, but believe me when I say that it is the most awesome minivan any parent could ever dream of!! Thank you Mom and Dad!! |
Just a little over a month left...getting close!! |
Eli loves kisses from Mommy, whether he'll admit it or not. :) |
Mommy and Mr. Mischevious |
We had to coax Eli to put on his astronaut costume for Halloween, but now that we're not forcing him to put it on he loves it and wears it for hours on end! |
Good times at Dicks, surprise surprise. |
Star Donuts at Kroger. |
Swinging on a rather cool day |
Running pics with Daddy a little bigger... |
Best buddies |
Eli giving Daddy a "run for his money" |
Ethan and I were both surprised at how far he ran at not quite 3 years old. We kept trying to get him to rest and take a break and he kept asking daddy to run with him. |
Astronaut training is very intense. :) (At Coppell Bible Church where Eli decided to where his astonaut costume to Bible Study.) |
Eli loved all of the valentine's balloons on the ceiling at Kroger. It was kind of like fishing...he'd grab a string and reel it in. |
Eli taking his old friend Garfield for a drive |
Eli is COMPLETELY into firetrucks right now. He loves to play fireman all day long, and when he actually gets to see one out it is like a dream come true. Today at Kroger we got to see a firetruck and an ambulance (bonus!) with their lights on. Eli was totally entranced with them the whole time we were there. We spent all of our grocery shopping time watching the firetruck instead, so while food is at a minimum it was certainly time well spent in the eyes of our almost 3 year old. |
The fireman saw Eli watching and came by and gave him his own fireman badge (aka, sticker). He loved it! |
More fun at the park today with my little aggie. |
