November in a Nutshell

I am way behind on my blogging!  Here are some pictures from the past few months, spanning from the end of October through November.  Eli has been hit or miss lately on naps, so between that, pregnancy, and just the general craziness of the fall (good craziness) I seem to have let the pictures stack up for a while.  Hope you enjoy! :)

Halloween Festivities

Mommy, Daddy, and the Cutest Little Astronaut in Town

Ethan's and my costume for a friend's Halloween Party.  We won the award for the best costumes.  In case you can't tell, I dressed like a accountant and Ethan dressed like a stay at home mom.  :)

I have a pencil and calculator in my pocket, plus Ethan's work shirt, work bag, and glasses to finish off the accountant look.  Ethan has a stuffed pregnant belly, diaper bag, and burpcloth on the shoulder. :)

Fun Times with Friends

At 2 1/2, Eli is very into pretending and playing with his stuffed animals.  He has is extremely creative and has quite the imagination!  On this particular morning, we built a tent in the living room and he and Elmo were making me food from their store.  For some reason that I cannot remember he felt the need to take his shirt off.  :)  I love these sweet moments of just getting to play with my little boy...I know they will fly by and be gone before I know it.

 Daddy's Birthday

My sweet husband turned the big 3-2 this year.  Here is a collage of some fun we had opening presents and celebrating together.

Daddy had a little helper ready to open presents, blow out the candles, and eat birthday cookie cake with him.  Eli was very excited all day about it being Daddy's birthday.

Rock and Roll Marathon in San Antonio

This year, Ethan ran the Rock and Roll Marathon in San Antonio.  Eli and I came with him to check in the day before the race, check out the expo, and go explore downtown SA.

I love the show "The Biggest Loser."  They had a booth there with former contestants who had been on the show.  I stopped by and took a picture with Dan who had been on a previous season, who I remember watching.  He asked me if I was running the race and then I pointed out my big ol' pregnant belly.  Smart guy to play it safe and not assume anything. :)

Our little aggie playing a little football (yes, that is a dog toy) while Daddy got all checked in for his big race.

Eli is the 12th Man.  His support must have helped them out because this was the day that A&M beat Alabama (the otherwise undefeated #1 team for all of you non-sports fans)!

Heading over to see the Alamo for Eli's first visit...or the Elmo as he liked to call it.

Eli and Daddy remembering the Alamo

After the Alamo, we walked down to the river and watched the boats go by.  This was much more appreciated by our little man at this point as some of the historic significance of the Alamo got lost on him.  It was a gorgeous day and we had a great time sitting by the beautiful (green) river and waving at the people and ducks floating by.

Celebration popsicle after the Ags beat Alabama in Nana and Papa's "treehouse"!
On Ethan's birthday, Eli and I made these shirts as a present for him to wear on the day of his big race.

Eli's shirt says "Run Daddy Run" and mine says "Go Ethan! We're proud of you!"

The back of Eli's shirt.  The back of mine says "{heart}, Your Wife and Daughter-to-be"

Race Day!  While Eli had been so excited about the shirts previously, he was having a 2 year old moment and would not put on the shirt for the actual event.  Oh well...Ethan did great and we were (and are) all very proud of him!

That weekend we also got to spend time with family in San Antonio.  Here is Elijah with his cousin Katelyn whom he adores!

Thanksgiving 2012

My little helper who assisted me in baking the Thanksgiving pies this year.  They were delicious!

In San Antonio.  Morning story time on Nana's lap...loving life.

Ethan, Elijah, Jennifer, and Baby Girl Cislaghi for the annual Thanksgiving picture

The classic silly pose :)

The cousins...Matthew, Dylan, Katelyn, and Eli

Fun with the bubble machine out on the back porch

Eli: "Whew, all of this playing and picture taking is just exhausting!"

The original Cobens...my how we have multiplied!

Ethan's not quite sure what to think about this crazy family. :)

Getting ready to eat!

The dancing snowman was a favorite

 Date Night in SA
My parents were so sweet to let us go out on a date while we were in town for a few days.  They provided babysitting and even a groupon for our dinner!  I think the whole neighborhood heard our tires peeling out as we took them up on their offer. ;)  As you can tell in these pictures, Elijah had a great time on his "date" with Nana and Papa!

Eli loves his Nana!

...partly because she is sure to always bribe him with cookies. :)

Enjoying some Starbucks Christmas drinks!

"Alright everyone, smile!"

"That was a good one."

In one episode of Blue's Clues, Blue takes a picture and holds the camera up to her head with her ears.  Ever since, Eli thinks that you are supposed to take a picture by holding the camera on your forehead. :)

 Other Recent Photos

Ethan and I at the Andrea Boccelli concert.  We got to watch the concert from the Deloitte suite, which was awesome.  It was a great night!

My little cutie, styling in his PJs and puffy vest :)

Eli is into balancing on curbs and walls lately, thanks to his ever growing coordination.

He also enjoys getting out of the stroller and walking with me more.  Here we are enjoying a nice walk together on a beautiful fall day!
