Mr. Chatty

I recorded this video a little over a week ago while Eli was eating lunch. You can hear him talking about his corn and peas, so be sure to turn up your sound!

Elijah's talking has seemed to improve daily! Some are more enunciated than others, but he is becoming much more consistent and I can tell that he actually knows what he is saying. These are some of the words that Elijah knows at this point:

Mama and Dada
Cheese
Corn
Peas
Beans
Hot Dog
Hot (always prounced ot-ot)
Cold
Nana (as in banana and grandma) and Papa
Door
Bye Bye
More
Hi
Uh oh
Ball (his absolute favorite at the moment)
No no
E-I-O
Eli
Thank you (more like dan-doo)
Dog
Cow (and moo)
Duck (and quack quack)
Car
Night night
Tree
Please (doesn't say this much, though we are working on it!)
And one he picked up from the long roadtrip...cracker :)

He is understanding more constantly and it still amazes me when he responds to something that I don't really expect him to get. He can point out most of his body parts, including head, hair, ears, eyes, nose, mouth, chin...although this is often confused with mouth, his tummy, his belly button, his hands, his feet, and his toes. He is such a blessing to us and we are enjoying him more and more every day. He is a joyful little boy (most of the time) who loves to play outside, throw balls, play "golf", build with his blocks, "read" books, and so much more. We love getting to know him more as his little personality continues to emerge. He is such a sweet gift from our gracious God and we couldn't be more thankful and happy in this wonderful season of parenthood.
