This past weekend, our family got to share in another first together...we took Elijah to his very first carnival! While Ethan may not natually be the most drawn to carnivals, he was a good sport and agreed to the happy outing. It was an absolutely gorgeous day and a fun way to get to enjoy the day together!

Before heading to the carnival, we stopped by Bigby's for a coffee. Eli enjoyed playing with all of the toys, as usual, and is especially getting into blocks. He loves to stack them as high as he can and build a tower. |
|
When we pulled up, Eli said, "I want to ride that! I want to ride the ferris wheel!" Hmm, maybe next year, little one. |

My boys...all smiles heading into the carnival |

Sweet family memories being made |

More rides...excitement building |
|
After buying non exchangeable, non refundable tickets for rides, we soon realized that our little one was not quite tall enough to ride any of the rides...bummer! Thankfully, we were able to sell ours to someone just about to buy tickets (which the workers told us to do) and bought some food/kiddie game tickets instead. |
|
First stop, the reptile petting zoo! |
|
While we weren't brave enough to hold a snake or a spikey lizard, we made fast friends with the ferret. |
|
Eli and Dada doing the cake walk. Dad escorted the first half, I did the second half and we won a cake! Lemon Glazed Bundt cake...yummy! |
|
The little kiddie game area was a major hit with Eli. The games were right up his alley and he won a prize every time. |

Bean bag toss...or more like bean bag dunk for Eli. :) |
|
This one he knew how to play! |
|
Awesome duck prizes. Ahh, which to choose, the army duck, the fireman duck....life as a two year old can be tough, I tell you. |

Gone Fishing (Louie Style) |

What a catch! |

Top off the day with a corn dog and I'd say it was about the perfect first carnival experience! |
My Collage Attempts
I found a new program that makes really cute collages. I cannot figure out how to post them bigger, however, so I know this is pretty small. It seems there is plenty of room, but when I choose the large size it cuts off half of the picture. Oh well, maybe I'll figure it out soon. Nonetheless, here are a few of my recent collage projects.
1. At the Carnival
2. Trying to get a good self portrait with Mom
3. Singing with Daddy
And a few Bonus Pics!
