10 months old!

Guess who is 10 months old today?

Is it Eli?

Haha! Noooo!

Do you have any other guesses? I'll give you a hint… She's wearing a yellow bow.

I think I know!

It's me!!

I am 10 months old and couldn't be more excited!

So what should we do to celebrate? You have any cake?

Silly little girl. What a sweet joy she has been in our lives for these last 10 months. We are so thankful to our gracious Heavenly Father for blessing us with this sweet, adorable, precious little angel. We look forward to many many more months of getting to know and love this invaluable little person we have the privilige of  calling our daughter.

Karis is almost 10 months!

My how my little girl is growing!! Here are a few updates on our almost 10 month little beauty.

1. Karis is definitely into finger foods and super excited about eating! Unlike her big bro, she loves avocado. :) Other favorites include black beans, bananas, peaches, pears, Cheerios, and this morning for breakfast she ate a whole ate if quinoa and blueberries! Basically, she loves everything we give her and is ready for more. :)

"Mmm, avocado!"

She got a spoon from Mamie that is supposed to help babies learn to feed themselves. It works! Karis loves to feed herself with her own spoon.

While Karis  loves to eat, we are still working on cleanliness and efficiency :-)

So glad my little sweetie is a great eater. Thus far she has not been picky at all and has willingly eaten all of the healthy food I set in front of her. This makes mommy so glad!

Sippy cups and drinking water are also super fun

My treasure

2. Karis and Eli are really beginning to play together. This is so sweet to watch! I pray that these two will be lifelong friends.

Playing on Eli's bed just before bath and bedtime. Her shirt was taken off due to dinner messiness. :-)

Karis is going to go ahead and brush her own teeth. :-)

A few nights ago I was about to put Karis to bed. I told Eli to give her a kiss and tell her good night. He said "aww, don't put her to bed yet, I want to play with Karis a little bit longer!" It was so sweet that I let her stay up and play with her big brother a little bit longer.

No one can make this girl laugh like a big brother Eli!

Sweet kisses from big bro to his little sis

Karis is beginning to stand up more. Here she is standing and playing on a little table toy.

Playing playing playing, a favorite past time

Karis wanting to go and run with the big kids at the park. Don't mind part of my finger in the corner. :-)

3. Karis has transitioned from army crawling to a full crawling. She is getting quick!

"i'm off to do the slides mom. Let me know if you need me."

Karis loooves to swing! (Just like her big bro here!)

5. Karis is becoming very verbal. She says mama often and a lot of other babbling sounds. Ethan is working on dada. :) I have noticed her making sounds a lot to try to catch our attention. For example, she will stare right at Ethan or Eli and make noises until they look her way. When they do look at her she grins and giggles and is so excited that she has gotten their attention!

That's all for now. We sure love this little girl and are so blessed that she has been in our life for nearly 10 months now. Thanks for enjoying her with us!

January Fun

Ethan, Eli, and boomerang all going down the slide together at the park

Eli takes the Odyssey for a spin. Nothing like teaching them early!

Karis had her nine month checkup with the doctor. She is a healthy growing girl! She has two teeth on the bottom, is army crawling, pulling up, says mama and dada, is starting to eat finger foods,  and loves to look at herself in the mirror!  Such a fun time!

Don't forget to eat your veggies people!

Karis is also back on schedule and sleeping through the night

Morning devotional time with the kiddos

Who taught this boy to be so silly?

Karis and Emma enjoy snacks together

Still trying to grasp the idea of personal space

Dinner time! Karis waving and clapping, her favorites

Karis always wants to sit up like her big brother. Eli not too impressed.

Karis' hands always cross over into Eli's territory :)

Whew, all this fun making me sleepy!

Not me! I am never sleepy!

Morning Kroger runs has its rewards :)
