Back to Bananas

In our last food post you saw what a huge fan Eli was of Avocados. :) Here we are back to the bananas...

Above: "Yeah, banana time!"

Above: "You are giving me bananas, right? No more of that disgusting green stuff?"

Above: "Could you be sure to mash them all really fine. I like them smooth with a touch of milk."

Above: "Are they almost ready?"

Above: "Oh good, I can hardly wait!"

Above: "Mmmmmmm!"

Above: "Ah, all done!" Nice full tummy, but what a messy boy...it is straight to the bathtub for you buddy!

Blog Backlogged!

I realize that I do not need to post EVERY single picture I take of Elijah, but there are just so many cute ones that I love to share. Here are some pictures that I have been meaning to post from a little while back. I am having so much fun being a mom and consider it the most rewarding and fulfilling job I have ever done. Each day and moment I spend with our little son is such a precious gift and I am so thankful to the Lord for his abundant blessings. I am also thankful to my wonderful husband who works to be such a great provider for a family. Sometimes I wish I could slow down time because this season in our life is just so good. I am blessed beyond words and give all honor and praise to God who is so good!

September 20th

Above: Me and my cute little baby on my 29th birthday. He is the best present I could have ever asked for!

Above: "Happy Birthday Mommy!" With a sweet grin like that, how could I not have the best day ever. :) He is wearing a super cute new outfit from his Mamie!

Above: "Whoa!!" Action shot...Elijah is really good at sitting for long stretches of time. Every so often, though, he will push off hard and one direction and fall over, but it doesn't seem to bother him at all. :)

Above: "Perfect, on the floor just like I wanted, and I still have my book with me..."

Above: And he's on the go! I'm sure this kiddo will be crawling across the room before long...he is so active and definitely likes to be moving! What a boy!

Above: Playing with Daddy! Elijah loves it when Ethan does airplane with him and twists him back and forth.

Above: Wearing his new froggie PJs from Mamie. :)

Above: Elijah is now wearing his 6-9 month clothes! These are 9 month pjs and came from Jamie just in the nick of time because his 6 month pajamas were getting pretty tight. He has a little room to grow into the length, but in the mean time loves chewing on the extra material. :)

Above: Laying on Daddy's chest...so sweet. Our little guy is getting sleepy and is ready for bed.

September 23rd

Above: What is that face?! This one just made me smile and I had to post it. :) Silly boy!

Above: Elijah has all his toys and is ready for a walk. Even with all these toys on hand, his favorite thing to play with on our walks is still the buckle on the straps.

Above: My little buddy rolling away. I like to call it "steam rolling" because he rolls back and forth across the room (which is why we cannot leave him on the bed anymore unless we are right there with him).

September 24th

Above: He was not being super smiley here, but I just love this outfit! His shirt says, "If you think I'm handsome, you should see my Daddy." He plaid shorts are precious too, which he got from Andrew and Blair. Love them!

September 26th

Above: In Dallas, the weather has been absolutely gorgeous lately!! This means that with cooler temperatures, Elijah has finally gotten to wear some of his long pants and long sleeve outfits. Here he is wearing a new outfit that he got from his Nana just recently.

Above: Just looking around...

Above: Elijah is getting ever so helpful. Here he is trying to "help" Mommy strap him into the carseat. (Really he is trying to chew on the clasp. :)

Above: I'm not sure if there is anything sweeter than a sleeping baby. We went and ran some errands and by the time we got home my little guy was all tired out. I couldn't resist snapping a few shots of that peaceful little face.

A Great Catch

Above: We got this precious little outfit from Uncle Daniel and Aunt Jenny. It says "a great catch" and has a big picture of a fish on it, which you can see more in later pictures. They gave it to us when they moved down to Galveston and I just love it!

Above: Eli playing in his exersaucer that he loves

Above: A quick smile for the camera...now you can start to see more of the fish.

Above: Elijah playing with his leap frog toy we borrowed from Uncle Michael and Aunt Jenny. At this point, Eli is not sure if he is more interested in the toy or in Boomerang.

Above: Up in Elijah's room, we decided to play with his name train Ethan and I made for him while I was still pregnant. It is crazy because in some ways it does not feel like long ago that Ethan and I were painting this little train, and now our little 5 1/2 month old son is sitting on the floor and playing with it!

Above: "Uh oh, Mommy, I messed up all the letters!"

Above: "I'll just chew on this one while I think about the right order they go in."

Above: "Now lets see, I think this is right..."

Above: "Did I get it right, Mom?"

Above: "Well...?"

Above: "I knew it!"

Above: "We did it buddy, I knew we could!"

Above: Elijah and his name train...starting to lose interest.

Above: "Hmmm, overalls."

Above: "I like overalls because they always make for a convenient built in chew toy."

Above: Another cute one...

Above: ...and another...

Above: ...and another! I know I am addicted to taking pictures of my little guy!

Above: Knocking the train back down. Fun times and "a great catch" indeed!

More San Antonio Fun

Some more pictures from our SA trip...

Above: Three Generations. I love this picture with Papa and Elijah!

Above: Family Picture! About to leave for church on Sunday morning. Elijah is wearing some precious monogrammed overalls he got from Brenda Birdwell at the Sip and See.

Above: Oops, we forgot Boomerang in the family picture! Here is a special one of the Bruiser and the Dude.

Above: Elijah meeting his Great Aunt Joyce for the first time. Nothing like chewing on her jacket and giving her a slobbery shoulder to make a good first impression. :)

Above: So sweet.

Above: Mom smiles for the camera while Elijah cuddles with his Auntie Joyce.

Above: Nana, Joyce, and Elijah

Above: Eli and Nana say "Bottoms up!"

Above: Morning fun out on the patio. Elijah loves his Nana!

Above: Mmmm...tasty feet!

Above: Elijah is a Papa's boy. I love this series of pics with Eli and my dad.
